Product Application of Hydrogenated castor oil CAS#8001-78-3

Castor oil has wide applications across multiple industries, including daily chemical, pharmaceutical, plastic, leather, and mechanical oil sectors. It is used in the production of Turkish red oil, soaps, plastics, and lubricating oils.

In the field of daily use products, it serves as a raw material for cosmetics, shoe polish, and medicinal ointments. It is also employed in the manufacture of sebacic acid, cold-resistant plasticizers, lubricants, spices, textile penetrants, and emulsifiers.

In medicine, castor oil is formulated into laxatives and zinc-based preparations. As a stimulant laxative, it mainly acts on the small intestine to promote bowel movement. Additionally, it can be applied as an anti-adhesive agent, release agent, carrier solvent, protective coating, or processed into sulfated castor oil.

In the leather and chemical industries, it functions as a fatliquor, finishing enhancer, and brightener. It is further utilized to produce plasticizers, dibasic acids, polyurethane coatings, rubber, adhesives, fatty acids, surfactants, insulating oils, hydraulic oils, and polyamide-11 fibers.
