Product Description of Guanidine Hydrochloride 99.5% CAS#50‑01‑1
Guanidine hydrochloride, alternatively called carbamidine hydrochloride, appears as a white to pale yellow crystalline solid and is nearly insoluble in acetone, benzene and ether. It is broadly utilized as a synthetic intermediate for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, dyestuffs and other organic substances.
Guanidine hydrochloride functions as a critical starting material for manufacturing multiple medicinal products such as sulfadiazine, sulfamethylpyrimidine, sulfadimethylpyrimidine and folic acid. It can also be incorporated as an antistatic additive for synthetic fibers.

Product Application of Guanidine Hydrochloride 99.5% CAS#50‑01‑1
Guanidine hydrochloride acts as a building block for organic synthesis to manufacture pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, dyestuffs and other chemical goods.
It supports the synthesis of 2‑aminopyrimidine, 2‑amino‑6‑methylpyrimidine and 2‑amino‑4,6‑dimethylpyrimidine. Besides, it stands as a key intermediate for the fabrication of sulfa medicines such as sulfadiazine, sulfamethylpyrimidine and sulfamethazine.
Guanidine hydrochloride (or guanidine nitrate) is capable of reacting with ethyl cyanoacetate to yield 2,4‑diamino‑6‑hydroxypyrimidine. This resultant compound is further adopted for the preparation of folic acid, an anti‑anemia therapeutic agent. Additionally, this product can be deployed as an antistatic additive for synthetic fibers.
