Product Structure

Door Panel

The door panel of the Hinged Lead Door is crafted from a variety of high-quality materials, with 201 or 304 stainless steel being the most commonly used options. Built with an internal steel frame for enhanced durability, the door is internally lined with high-purity lead sheets (up to 99.994% purity) to deliver superior radiation shielding performance.
Alternative exterior panel materials are also available, including color-coated steel sheets, cold-rolled steel plates, and decorative boards, offering flexibility to meet different design and functional requirements.

Lead Sheet

The lead sheet is the core radiation shielding component of the Hinged Lead Door. It is typically manufactured using national standard No. 1 electrolytic lead (commonly referred to as lead skin or lead plate).
Lead sheets are available in thicknesses ranging from 0.1mm to 160mm, with widths up to 1600mm and lengths up to 13 meters. Custom dimensions and specifications can be negotiated based on specific project requirements.
Manufacturers select the appropriate lead sheet thickness according to the desired lead equivalency (Pb value) to ensure optimal radiation protection.

Product Categories

Based on the opening mechanism, Hinged Lead Doors can be classified into two types: Manual Hinged Lead Door and Electric Hinged Lead Door.

Manual hinged lead doors feature simple manual opening and closing operation. With a reliable, straightforward structure, they are ideal for facilities with low frequency of use and no demand for automatic operation.
By contrast, electric hinged lead doors are fitted with an intelligent motor drive system, enabling effortless opening and closing via button control or remote operation. Designed for high-efficiency and user-friendly scenarios, they are widely applicable to hospitals, laboratories and professional industrial sites that require convenient and frequent access.

1. Hinged Lead Shielding Door

Available in single-leaf, double-leaf, and leaf-and-a-half (asymmetrical) configurations, hinged lead shielding doors are designed with either inward or outward opening options. The door structure and material specifications are determined according to the radiation energy level (kV) and the dimensions of the doorway. The design of the door frame differs from that of the door leaf to ensure optimal radiation protection and mechanical performance.

2.Sliding Lead Protective Door

Available in single-leaf, double-leaf, and overhead track sliding configurations, the sliding lead protective door operates by moving parallel to the wall. The structure and materials of the door are selected based on the radiation intensity (kV level) and the dimensions of the doorway. The frame structure is different from that of a standard hinged door to accommodate the sliding mechanism while maintaining radiation shielding performance.

3.Electric Lead Protective Door

Electric sliding doors and electric hinged doors.
Electric lead protective doors are typically used for larger door panels. Due to the heavy weight of the door, manual operation can be difficult, making electric opening mechanisms the preferred choice. The opening methods are divided into hinged (swing) type and sliding (translation) type.

Product Features

Excellent Radiation Protection:
Effectively blocks or attenuates radiation sources such as X-rays and gamma rays, significantly reducing the amount of radiation transmitted from the source. This ensures that the radiation dose received by workers or patients remains well within safety standards.

Long Service Life:
The surface is made with thickened steel plates, offering superior durability and resistance to daily friction and impact.

Safe and Hygienic:
Provides complete radiation shielding, easy to clean and maintain, and effectively isolates radiation to ensure the safety of personnel. The door also features low noise operation and excellent sealing performance during use.
